An Orientation for Men 4 min read · 19 August 2026 Sexological bodywork is a body-oriented method that combines conversation, breathwork and mindful touch to develop your own perception, body awareness and sexuality. Unlike classic talk therapy, you don't just learn through your head, but directly through experience in your own body. The method is based on Sexological Bodywork, has been taught as a profession in Switzerland since 2009, and is clearly defined: it is non-medical and non-sexual body and energy work. ## Why work through the body — and not just through conversation? Many men know this: you've long since understood an issue. You know where the pressure comes from, you know your patterns — and yet nothing changes. That's not your fault. It's because sexuality isn't a matter of the mind alone. Tension, performance pressure, shame: all of this sits in the body, in the nervous system, in the breath. That is exactly where sexological bodywork begins. In this work you learn to perceive your sensations again, instead of judging them. You experience how breath, movement and attention change what you feel — not as theory, but as direct experience. That is the difference from mere talking: the body learns along with you. ## What happens in a session — and what doesn't It always begins with a conversation. Your concern, your questions, your boundaries — only once the intention is clear does bodywork follow. Coaching comes before bodywork, without exception. Breathwork is part of every session. Everything else — from body awareness to mindful touch to specific methods — is discussed and agreed beforehand. Nothing happens without your consent. Equally important is what sexological bodywork is not: it is not a sexual service, not an erotic massage, not a menu of requests. It is a professional space for learning and experience with clear boundaries — confidential, respectful, on equal footing. ## Who is this work suited for? For men with a specific concern: performance pressure, premature ejaculation, uncertainty around erections, low desire, high pornography use. But also for men without a "problem" who want to get to know their body and their desire more consciously — who want to feel rather than function. Sexuality is a field for learning, not a repair shop. And if you're wondering whether your concern is "big enough": that question doesn't apply here.
